SMILE

SMILE Teams

We believe that Jesus gives gifts to everyone who follows him for the building up of his body. By the Sprit of Christ, the body of Christ is gifted to be apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral, and able to teach (Ephesians 4:11-16).  But we also believe that these gifts need to be lived out practically in order to be effective.  Even as Jesus is the incarnation of the God no one can see (Colossians 1:15), it is the responsibility of his body to put flesh and blood on the gifts of the Spirit, to make them real in our century, our culture, our relationships.

For that reason, we combine gifts from Ephesians 4 with faith practices that reflect our understanding of our culture to create teams that lead The Well.  The faith practices come from the life of Jesus and spell the word SMILE.  The teams meet monthly, draw their members from each expression of The Well, and each have their own activities and events to serve the body of Christ and advance his kingdom.
